ABOUT BRITTNEY

Brittney has almost always provided care for infants and children. From age 5 she grew up helping her mom in her home daycare and spent evenings and weekends babysitting. Then after High School, she worked on & off as a nanny until 2007 when she started studies at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. CSNN helped her develop a wide base knowledge though preferring to work with pre and post natal clients, infant and childhood nutrition. While Brittney enjoyed clinical practice as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, she missed working closely with children, especially infants. In 2008 she was introduced to a Postpartum Doula and was intrigued by the support they offered and knew she wanted to combine practices.
In order to support new mothers further, Brittney enrolled in The Breastfeeding Course for Healthcare Practitioners offered at Douglas College. This program inspired Brittney to take her studies in Breastfeeding further. Six months later, she relocated to the United States to attend the University of California San Diego Lactation Consultant Program. She completed studies and received the designation of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2011. Brittney also worked as a teaching assistant for the U of C lactation consulting program. In 2018 sought to expand her knowledge of infant sleep and enrolled in the Institute of Sensitive Sleep’s consulting program. She received her designation in 2019 as a Sensitive Sleep Consultant.
