OUR PLANNED CESAREAN DOULA SERVICE:

• Unlimited phone and email support up to four weeks prior to your birth

• Two 1.5 – 2 hr prenatal meetings to get to know you and your partner (if you have one); discussion of mental preparation and support with relaxing techniques leading up to the birth; opportunity to share fears and concerns you have. Sessions can include music, affirmations, hypnosis, and, if wanted, anchoring techniques and aromatherapy oils.

• Discuss the details of cesarean birth/cesarean birth options, such as delayed cord clamping, and having skin to skin time as soon as possible after birth; your specific birth preferences

• Optional acupuncture treatments in weeks prior to birth which facilitate relaxation and help prepare your body for surgery

• Meet you at the hospital, or at your home, one to two hours in advance, to support you until it is time for the birth

• A variety of comfort measures provided such as massage, hypnosis tracks and optional acupuncture treatments to calm your nervous system and relax your body and mind, while waiting for your birthing time

• We can arrange to take photos to remember this special day, if requested

• Present with partner or other support person prior to being admitted into Operating Theater (Depending on which hospital I may or may not be in attendance in the OR)

• Breastfeeding support is provided in post recovery area, if requested/needed

• One scheduled postpartum visit to discuss the birth, and check in on your recovery, feeding, sleeping and family adjustment

• Optional postnatal acupuncture recovery treatment and/or processing treatment which can include the application of reiki, aromatherapy oils, music and affirmations/guided meditation

• Option of additional postpartum care with our doulas, if requested/needed
